With a sponsorship you engage in the three focal areas of UNICEF: education, survival and child protection.

Education for every child

Project sponsorship

One out of six children worldwide cannot attend school. That makes 250 million children who cannot learn – and who have no opportunity for a better future, because a good education is the most important factor in escaping from poverty. UNICEF works to ensure that all children worldwide have access to high-quality education.

Fight against female genital mutilation

Project sponsorship

Globally, an estimated 230 million girls and women are subjected to female genital mutilation – often before their 15th birthday. This harmful practice breaches basic human rights and has severe physical and mental consequences.

Ensuring child survival

Every day, more than 13,600 children under the age of five die worldwide. Forty-seven percent of them do not even survive the first 28 days. Most of these premature deaths could be prevented by simple and effective means such as breastfeeding, a balanced diet for mothers and infants, and access to medical care.

Effective help costs just 1 franc per day

How it works:

Project sponsorship: 360 francs per year (payable monthly, quarterly, biannually or annually)

As a project sponsor, you will receive regular updates about the progress of the project, and in January you will get a donation receipt for your tax return.
